It’s the Witch Hunt Time Now!!!

Now that the ground work is done to attack and discredit a charter school via calling it “Gulen Charter School”, the reporter can identify the individual members of that particular charter school community and target them as a wolf does to the flock of sheep.

The wolf first attacks the flock, chases them and once a lamb appears to be going away from the rest, the wolf focuses on that lonely lamb for further chase until the process of attack and killing is complete.

That has become another pattern of such local papers to identify some disgruntled former staff or parent members and take advantage of their personal dissatisfaction and magnify that into an overall satisfaction over the school then remind the reader that it was a so called “ Gulen Charter School”.

Recently, they even took it to a worse level and decided to play the Sherlock Holmes to even search for the police records for any traffic citations, tickets and similar violations of the community members of such targeted schools. A reporter should not be this desperate unless he/she is on an assigned witch hunt mission…

Last time such organized witch hunt took place was back in those antiquated dates when we still had the cold war. Looking for communists for cleansing…The common thread of such media attacks appear to be focused on new comer i.e. Turkish-Americans in US and their successful enterprises.

The witch hunt has been condemned for quite a while, not only because the SSCB was collapsing but also due to its inhumane and unethical approach. However, all of a sudden somehow, some people felt so compelled about identifying a new target, and resurrecting the inhumane and unethical “Witch Hunt” over some so called “Gulen Charter Schools”.

In conclusion, it is sad if not ridiculous to watch some college fresh reporters going backward in their career via practicing such unethical and unprofessional methods instead of growing in their career through fair, objective and professional journalism.

What could be the motivation behind such a career suicide? Unpredictable…
